Description of the episode

This week the Dutch DJ duo Mr. Belt & Wezol is responsible for the rousing house sound in the Ibiza World Club Tour Radioshow. When it comes to sampling classics to turn them into a housey banger, you can always rely on Mr. Belt & Wezol! For “It’s Not Right But It’s Okay” the DJ duo used a sample from music legend Whitney Houston. And with your version you have created one of the club anthems of 2024. Bart Riem and Sam van Wees met in 2013 in a student apartment in Delft, their hometown in the Netherlands. Since then, the two have been a close-knit duo; the two of them derived their stage name Mr. Belt & Wezol from their real names: “It's actually pretty simple. My last name is Riem, explains Bart, and that is the Dutch word for belt (English: Belt). The same applies to Sam. His last name is Wees, which is the Dutch word for weasel. The remake of the Whitney Housten song has been streamed 140 million times and earned a nomination for the MTV Europe Music Award. With their performances at Tomorrowland and Ultra Music Festival, they have now secured a permanent place in the international dance scene. They continue to delight their fans again and again, especially with their live shows, especially the popular “Cuckoo’s Nest” series. The duo released their current single “Keep It Exciting” in collaboration with singer Alex Hosking and the guys from Qobra from Italy on NITRON music (Sony Music) in November. The song is an absolute dance floor filler and can be heard in your house set for the Ibiza World Club Tour Radioshow.
